Baggy

Disposables and small tools in clear poly bags is the oldest design trick in the book. It’s an attractive way to merchandise all those bits and pieces that beauty junkies love to help keep them nipped ‘n’ tucked. Years ago Mister Mascara launched the notorious wall of controlled chaos at Harvey Nicks that wowed the beauty industry, and there’s Shu Uemura who never fails with meticulously organized Japanese minimalism, now Toronto-based independent agency, GJP Advertising + Design, has remixed the utilitarian packaging solution. The simple black and white palette, font choice and clever copy gives this random pencil sharpener personality that sticks.

GJP created the entire identity package for Gee Beauty urban spa, as well as their website and shop design. Check it out: www.geebeauty.com
